The Grand Budapest Hotel merupakan sebuah film komedi yang menceritakan tentang perjalanan hidup seorang manager hotel terkemuka Grand Budapest bernama Monsieur Gustave (Ralph Fiennes). Ia memiliki seorang lobby boy yang bernama Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori). Permasalahan utama muncul saat Gustave dituduh telah membunuh Madame D ( Tilda Swinton), mereka dikejar-kejar oleh polisi, pembunuh bayaran hingga merebutkan lukisan “Boy with Apple” yang terkenal dan sangat mahal. Selain itu film ini juga menceritakan tentang kisah cinta Zero dengan Agatha yang merupakan seorang pembuat kue Mendl’s.

Film ini berhasil mendapatkan 9 Nominasi Oscar Academy Award yaitu Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenpaly, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Make Up and Hairstyling, and Best Original Score.

Scene yang paling diingat pada film ini yaitu pada saat Kovacs mengumumkan bahwa kekayaan Madame D diwariskan kepada Gustave karena scene ini merupakan awal dari konflik.
